Cody Kouba

Legend has it that out in the pines of East Texas, a banjo-picking moonshiner named Phineus Reb caught his sweetheart in the arms of a pipeliner selling her dreams of oil fortunes. All three vanished that night... until now.

The Reb returned as a high-speed whirlwind of twisted twang and bluegrass fire, sung by the souls of the tormented.

Cody Kouba is the outlaw heart of Phineus Reb — a Texas singer-songwriter, guitarist, and banjo player who's been turning heads since 1998. He forged a sound he calls Honky-Grass — East Texas honky-tonk, bluegrass, jazz, and rock, built on rocking guitars, harmonica, banjo, drums, and killer harmony vocals.

His debut single, "You Can Go to Hell (I'll Go to Texas)," hit radio in 2016, and Phineus Reb Awakening was submitted for a 2017 Grammy by Sugarhill Studios.

From the dancehalls of East Texas to Kenney Chesney’s Poets n Pirate’s tour and stages across the country, Cody Kouba brings the kind of night you don't forget — boots on the floor, hearts in the music, and a story that refuses to stay buried.
